About Us

The Zoning Officer is primarily responsible for enforcing the Zoning code of the Borough which pertains to what can be built on a specific property and what restrictions and requirements are needed for each improvement. For example, the Zoning Officer’s review and approval is needed to install a fence, install a pool, to grade a property, and to build a shed. These are a few of the activities that fall under the Zoning Officer’s jurisdiction.

The Zoning Clerk assists the Zoning Officer with office tasks, and is responsible for compiling, mailing, and reporting on violation notices issued by the Officer.

Zoning Office hours are: Wednesday 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Zoning Officer - Rose Quirk-Lafferty
Zoning Clerk - Monday through Friday - 8:00 AM to 12:30, 1:30 to 4:00.
                        Note: Summer hours are slightly different.
