Final Pick-Up All Areas

NEW JERSEY STATE REGULATIONS REQUIRE LEAVES TO BE PLACED AT THE CURB NO SOONER THAN SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO PICK UP AND PLACED NO CLOSER THAN 10 FEET TO ANY STORM DRAIN.  LEAVES ARE NOT TO BE RAKED INTO THE STREET OR ROADWAY; THEY ARE TO BE PLACED AT THE CURB.  NO BAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Trash Pickup

Due to the Labor Day Holiday, there will be no trash collection on Monday. This will put trash collection one day behind.

Free Rabies Clinic

The Borough will be hosting its free rabies clinic on Saturday February 5, 2011. Snow date: February 19, 2011, Time: 9:00 to 11:00am.

Location: Borough of Clayton, Public Works Dept., Bernard and Washington Ave.

*2011 LICENSE MAY BE PURCHASED AT THAT TIME*

Price: $8.20 if dogs and cats are sprayed or neutured and $11.20 if they are not. After March 31, 2011 there is a $4.00 late fee added to the price of the license.

Please bring proof of Sprayed and Neutured papers and correct change.

Public Works

ATTENTION!!!
All Electronic equipment; TV’s, computers, radios, etc.. should no longer be mixed into residents general trash as of Dec. 31, 2010. All electronics should be separated for a separate pickup on regular trash day by our Public Works Dept.
Trash Collection Schedule

Large Items

Large Items and Metal are picked up on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday’s of each month except in December.Please call Public Works at 856-881-3778 to Schedule a pick up.

Tuesday:
East of Delsea Drive from Delsea Drive (but not including Delsea Drive) to Little Ease Run; southern border is Madison Avenue and northern border is Costill Avenue. East side of Delsea Drive to Little Ease Run to Wilson Lake; southern border is Madison Avenue and northern border is Academy Street.

Wednesday:
West side of Delsea Drive from Delsea Drive to the railroad; southern border is Borough Avenue and northern border is 7th Avenue.

Thursday:
West side of Delsea Drive from railroad to Silver Lake; southern border is Borough Avenue and northern border is 7th Avenue. East side of Delsea Drive from Little Ease Run to Monroe Township; southern border is Academy Street and northern border is Deschler Boulevard. East side of Delsea Drive from Delsea Drive to Little Ease Run; southern border is Louis Drive and northern border is Carpenter Street. The entire east side of Delsea Drive.

Recycle… It’s The Law Collected same day as regular trash

Mulch

Mulch is available through the Borough at a cost of $10.00 for 3 cubic yards and $20.00 for 6 cubic yards.

Newspaper and cardboard (uncontaminated corrugated cardboard boxes and panels, newspaper, magazines, books hard and soft cover, junk mail, chipboard, office, copy, school paper, etc.) Pizza boxes are not recyclable.
Plastic containers, glass and metal cans

Used motor oil, transmission fluid and gear oil may be taken to the Public Works Garage to be deposited in the recycling oil tank between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, except legal holidays only. No hazardous materials may be mixed with any used oil.

Construction Permits

Construction Permits are required for, but not limited to: all new construction, additions and alterations, garages, sheds larger than 100 square feet, fences, pools, decks, signs, roofing, siding, lawn sprinkler systems, gas piping, installation of heating or air conditioning, electric service upgrades.

Certificates Of Occupancy
Certificates are required each time there is a change in tenant and/or owner with both residential and commercial properties. If your home, apartment or commercial property is rented, you must register as a landlord with the Borough.

Zoning Permits
Zoning Permits are required for, but not limited to: all new construction, additions, garages, sheds, fences, pools, decks, driveways, signs. Any construction of proposed additions and/or buildings, having a grade or floor level, for a total of six-hundred (600) square feet or more. You will require to get a grading plan done from a professional engineer under the Borough Ordinance # 8-06.
