Next Special Events Meeting will be April 19, 2012 at 7pm in Borough Hall. Topics to include Easter Egg Hunt, Upcoming Movie Night and other weekend events, friends are welcome at the meeting.

Friends of Clayton Public Schools will be hosting a Art Show and Social Event on March 3rd 2012 . The event will be hosted at Clayton High School Media Center from 7PM to 9PM. All proceeds will go bring back the lights at Haupt Field.

Clayton’s 9th Annual Christmas Parade

Saturday December 10th, 2011, Rain Date will be Sunday December 11th

Parade will leave from Simmon’s Elementary School at 6:30PM Sharp

Parade Route will include: From Siimmon’s parking lot: left on Chestnut St., Left on Franklin St., Left on Washington Ave., Left on Broad St., Right on Howard St., Right on New St., Left on Center St., Left on Clayton Ave., Right on East Ave., Rigth on Moore Blved., Right on Clevenger Dr., Left on Clayton Ave., Right on Main St., Left on Academy St., the Left on Delsea Dr.

Prizes for the Best Decorated House on the Parade Route will be Awarded: 1st $75, 2nd $50, 3rd $25

Tree Lighting at Borough Hall approximately 7:30PM

Clayton Special Events Committee will be hosting “Clayton Harvest Fest” 2011

Saturday October 8th from 12Noon to 4pm  (with rain date of October 9th)

Location : Little Ease Park just off East Ave.

Celebrate Fall with your Clayton Neighbors!

Free blow-up rides a for kids, tour the Clayton Historic Preservation Museum,

and enjoy great food & crafts selections from local vendors.

There will also be a Pumpkin Decorating Contest, bring your pumpkin pre-decorated to be judges at 3:00pm.

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced that this year’s Annual Senior Citizen Picnic will feature the theme ‘Beach Party’. The picnic will be held on September 7, 2011 (rain date 9/8/2011), from 11:00AM to 3:00PM at Red Bank Battlefield Park, National Park.

In conjunction with the  Clayton’s Special Events Committee who will be hosting; Movie Night Sandelier Park on Friday June 24, 2011 at 8pm. The Economic Development Commmitte is hosting a 4th Friday Event to promote our downtown businesses from 6 to 8pm.

It is requested that our local businesses provide a sidewalk sale opportunity for their customers on this particular evening during the hours of 6 to 8pm. As residents walk along the Delsea Drive, differnt type of enterainment will be provided in fornt of the municipal building. Barbara Ann’s will have their front patio open and a crossing guard will be available to assist with crossing.

The goal of the Economic Development Committe is to make this 4th Friday a monthly event  from June to September.  For potential growth, we are looking to add vendors, antique cars and crafts to draw additional residents/prospects to our local businesses.

On April 16^th – 11-2pm Clayton Special Events Committee will host the Annual Clayton Egg Hunt at Little Ease Park

There will be food, games, face painting, petting zoo, and special prizes awarded for finding the Golden Eggs.
